Diana Sechrist is an award-winning Boston photographer with a focus on celebrating the beauty of pregnancy and motherhood.

Named by Photography Magazine as one of the top photographers in Massachusetts, she has been voted "Best of Boston" and "Best of Cambridge" consecutively since 2012.

Her photography has been featured by the Boston Globe and published on the covers of Boston Parents Paper, Expecting Magazine and Newborn Magazine.

Over the last decade, Diana has photographed more than 1500 pregnant women and more than 700 newborns. She is known for making her own unique props as she creates her artistic newborn portraits. Her pregnancy and newborn photography has been selected to display in local Boston area hospitals, including St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston, MA (Steward Medical) and Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA (Lahey Health).

Boutique Experience

She offers her clients complimentary wardrobe during their studio photo shoots, making her studio highly sought-after for not only photography, but its unique selection of couture pregnancy wardrobe. In 2019, Diana launched her own fashion collection of custom handmade maternity & postpartum gowns (ETERNAL WARDROBE). ETERNAL WARDROBE dresses are only available to photo shoot customers during their photo shoots and these dresses are not available for resale.

The studio currently offers more than 100+ pregnancy and postpartum gowns, many of which are ETERNAL WARDROBE designs. To stay up to date on the latest collection of pregnancy and postpartum dress designs, be sure to follow Diana’s instagram page @dianasechristphotography.

Need props? The studio has one of the largest collection of photography props in the Boston area, with a 500SF prop room. In 2010, the studio opened DSP Prop Shop, an online prop shop for photographers nationwide.

Motherhood Impact

A mother of two, Diana embraces the power of this transformational time in a woman’s life.

To combat the difficulties faced due to the 2020 COVID pandemic, Diana began offering outdoor travel on-location photo shoots to clients. These outdoor maternity photo sessions include access to Diana’s handmade dress line ETERNAL WARDROBE: a wardrobe line made specifically for DSP pregnancy photo shoots. These are one of a kind hand-made dresses used as studio wardrobe only; they are not for sale.

Please note our studio and outdoor pregnancy and motherhood photo sessions fill up fast, so be sure to book 4-5 months in advance.

PAOLA CATALINO, PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST

Paola is an award-winning professional hair & makeup artist that specializes in event and photography makeup.

For more than 10 years, Paola has changed the way women see themselves in the eye of her magic at the makeup counter. She believes beauty starts from within and she simply adds the polish to what already glows inside and outside of every woman.

She assists the studio with professional makeup, hair styling services and elaborate updos based on the studio’s creative direction.

She has worked with Diana since 2017.

BRIANNA K, STUDIO BOOKING ASSISTANT

As our studio booking assistant, Brianna is the first person to welcome you to the studio and answers any questions you have during the inquiry and booking process. She will help you understand everything from studio rates, print credits, wardrobe, what to bring to the shoot and any other questions you might have about the process. As a former client, Brianna has had both of her children photographed at Diana Sechrist Photography.

Matt is a Boston-based filmmaker who joined our team in 2019, providing an intimate behind the scenes look at our work. Clients now have the option of having their entire photo shoot experience documented through beautiful timeless videos. You can view an example featuring one of our newborn photo shoots, here. We are excited to see more and more clients choosing video as an “add-on” service during their pregnancy or newborn portrait sessions. Video services can be added at the time of booking (please refer to booking form!).
